Spanish classes in Atlanta, built around your reason
One of the world’s most spoken languages. For business, for travel, and for connecting with people across cultures and communities. Private and small-group lessons with Valentina, in person around Atlanta or online.
Maybe you took Spanish in school, or kept an app streak going for a year. Then a colleague or a neighbor speaks to you in Spanish and the words are gone. My lessons train exactly that: answering, out loud, in real time.
Spanish for work, travel and family
Tell me why you want to learn and the lessons follow it. A few examples:
Work
Colleagues, customers or a team in Mexico City or Madrid. You want to run the meeting, make the call and write the email yourself.
Travel
Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica, Argentina. You want to order, ask for directions and chat with people along the way. Tell me your travel dates and we plan the lessons back from there.
Family
A partner, in-laws or grandkids who speak Spanish. You want to be part of the conversation at the table.
Your community
Neighbors, parents at school, the people you meet every day around Atlanta. You want to talk with them in their language.
Kids and teens
Your child has Spanish at school and needs practice alongside it, at their own pace.
Starting again
You learned some Spanish years ago and it faded. We pick it up from where you are now.

Spanish about your week
From the first lesson you speak Spanish about real things: your work, your week, the trip you are planning. I listen, correct you kindly and keep you talking. Grammar comes in when it helps you say what you want to say.
If you need Spanish for work, we practice your real situations: the Monday call, the site visit, the email to a supplier. If it is for travel or family, we practice those conversations instead.
I suggest two hours a week. Enough to make real progress, light enough to keep up.

Meet Valentina
I’m Italian, and Spanish is one of the four languages I work in. I studied foreign languages and communication at the University of Turin, and learned Spanish at Proyecto Español, a language school in Alicante, Spain.
For seventeen years I trained and coached store teams for an Italian multinational fashion company, across Europe, the Middle East and Russia. Nobody learns to run a shop floor from a textbook, and nobody learns to speak from one either. You learn by doing it, with someone who corrects you kindly and keeps you talking.
Today I live in Atlanta, I teach every lesson myself, and I also teach for four language schools.
One-on-one or a small group, in person or online
I suggest two hours a week. Enough to make real progress, light enough to keep up.
Just you, or a small group?
In person, or online?
Any mix works: one-on-one online, a small group in person, or the other way round.
We talk from the first lesson. Grammar comes in when you need it.
Tell me why you want to learn Spanish, and I build the lessons around it.
- To run the call with your team in Mexico City.
- To talk with your in-laws in their language.
- To chat with your neighbors without switching to English.
- To help your kids with their Spanish homework.
- To travel through Spain or Latin America and understand the answers.

The students absolutely loved the class and had such a great time learning with you. We really appreciated your energy, flexibility, and the way you engaged them throughout the lesson.

Valentina Songia is a very effective teacher. She’s patient and supportive. I feel confident practicing my español by ordering in restaurants and greeting others. She meets us where we are in our progress and doesn’t judge. I look forward to our class each week.
FeliciaSpanish student
Valentina explains how to use the language in context and helps us understand the topic. When we do not understand something, she is patient and breaks down the material. I have really enjoyed learning from her.
StellaItalian student
I’ve really enjoyed taking in-person Italian lessons with Valentina Songia, who is an excellent teacher and incredibly patient. My goal is to become more confident speaking Italian and more comfortable interacting with locals when traveling in Italy, and Valentina has made learning both enjoyable and rewarding. I strongly believe that personalized, face-to-face instruction is far more effective than language apps or online courses, and I highly recommend Valentina to anyone interested in learning Italian.
BillItalian student, 56
Her enthusiasm has delighted our students and made her a pleasure to work with. With no hesitation, we recommend Valentina as a language instructor.

Good to know
Do you teach Business Spanish?
Yes. Business is one of the four levels. We work on meetings, calls and email in the Spanish you use at work, with your real situations as the material.
Which Spanish do you teach, Spain or Latin America?
I learned my Spanish in Alicante, Spain.
I teach Castellano, the standard Spanish most courses use, and I always show you the differences between the Spanish of Spain and of Latin America.
I studied Spanish in school years ago. Where do I start?
From where you are now. On the free call we find your level, and the first lessons bring back what you already know before we build on it.
I tried before and it didn’t stick. Why would this be different?
Many courses start with rules and leave speaking for later. Here it is the other way round. You talk from the first lesson, about things you care about, and the grammar comes in when you need it.
Can colleagues or a couple take lessons together?
Yes, as a small group. You practice with each other, and the lesson stays personal.
Groups are up to eight people.
Do you teach Spanish to kids and teens?
Yes. The lessons follow the student’s age, level and goals. With teens we work alongside what they do at school.
Kids can start from first grade.
Can I take Spanish lessons online?
Yes. Same lessons, on video. Good when you are short on time or outside the Atlanta area.
How much do Spanish lessons cost?
There is no price list here because no two plans are the same: one-on-one or a group, once or twice a week, in person or online. After the free call you get your price in writing, and you decide then.

Tell me why you want to learn. By the end of the call you know your level, the format that fits your week and what the first month looks like. Then you decide.
One teacher means a limited number of students. If my week is full, I’ll tell you when the next place opens.
